Since the idea of rotting stinks, I decided to make full use of the electricity supply there and use the computers in the main lobby of the office level.
However, there were many highly frustrating restrictions:
Firstly, how do one expect to use the computers in peace when the signs "Warning. CCTV in Operation" sit just above the computer terminals? I wonder if my conversations on MSN were secure? Being spied on may be one thing. Being charged is another. Paranoid.
Secondly, all flash-related games do not work! I thought of playing neopets (yes, neopets) but the games will not load! Hence, all I did was collect my interest (of 222np) from the Neopian Bank and did some reading here and there on the webbie. My seniors did tell me that those mini games websites could not be accessed too and hence my conclusion that flash-related games will not work in the PCs there.
Thirdly, the windows media player was outdated and there was also no realplayer installed on the computer. Hence, I couldn't access any online radios. I was starving for music since I wanted to conserve the little amount of battery left in my nano and be used till Monday.
Lastly, motion sensors control the lighting on the second level. It was freaking annoying when the lights at the lobby kept going out every 10 minutes! *urgh* I had to constantly walk to the sensor and do a wave-wave for the lights to be on-ed again. IRRITATING!
Well, the computers suck! I guess I have to bring in more things to do whenever I have weekend duties. I must not rot!
Anyways, my weekend was quite well spent despite the fact that it was a very irritating one. I read many many blog entries. It was like after reading those entries that I realized that I had missed out a lot on my friends' lives. I am so lost in my own life that I can't catch up with the lives of my close friends. *sigh*
